I went along early in the lunch hours down to their B1 location near Okachimachi station. The small, clean and cozy restaurant was fragrant with burning incense and some marvellous smells from the kitchen. I decided to spring for the Thali Meal. At 1,800 yen this is a steep price tag for lunch, but as Vege Herb Saga is a South Indian restaurant I wanted to try them at their best. What they served me didn’t disappoint.
The level of quality at Vege Herb Saga was a lovely pleasant surprise, although you could get a much more varied Thali meal at A-Raj for only 1,000 yen or, better still, Andrha Kitchen’s perfect lunch meal for 1,290. That said, it’s great to have a vegetarian option that’s so very delicious, and I’ll be going back for those Poori’s alone. The Ueno area gets yet another stellar Indian option, and Tokyo vegetarians get a place to enjoy the utmost in quality with an all veg menu.
